If you are a perfectionist with a very tight budget I don't think this screen is for you. I was expecting this change but not to this extent, the list of negatives may seem long but they are quickly forgotten in the face of the overall performance of the screen. Its worth pointing out that if Samsung decides to stick with the price point of 2,600+, it will make the OLED G9 more expensive than the Odyssey Neo G9, which has a price tag of 2,197. Not too disturbing as I'm on headphones all the time, but I'm still considering trying a repaste of my 3080 to try and mitigate this problem. Based on the high-performance technology pioneered by the current Odyssey G9, the Odyssey Neo G9 features an ultra-wide 49-inch display with a 32:9 aspect ratio that offers Dual Quad High-Definition (DQHD 5,120×1,440 resolution) with a rapid, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.

The problem is that it's impossible to have the fans off and so the PC is now noisy for office use whereas previously it was completely silent outside of gaming. The new Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 takes the familiar but still outrageous recipe of a 49-inch, uber-curved, and ultra-fast gaming monitor and garnishes it with cutting-edge backlighting technology.

I'm not sure how much of a problem it is, but I'm sure it's a good idea to have a good screen, and I'm sure it's a good screen. The GPU is much more solicited even just on the Windows desktop. Honestly, this can be scary at first, but the reality is that when the screen is on it is IMPOSSIBLE to see these dust particles so I chose not to make a return - The screen consumes quite a bit of power, heats up a lot, especially at 240HZ with HDR. They are clearly visible when the screen is turned off and lit with an external light.

All these problems disappeared after a clean reinstallation of the Nvidia drivers and a reset of my GPU underclocking - Like many other people I noticed after several days that dust particles are visible behind the screen. everything goes- Future proofThe minuses:- Some disconnection problems (black screen for no reason) and restart of the screen at the beginning.
